TEIN UniMAC-IJ Holds Successful Handover Ceremony at Auditorium
The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of University of Media, Arts and Communication held a successful handover ceremony today at the UniMAC-IJ Auditorium, bringing together comrades, student leaders, party faithful, and youth activists.
The event marked a transition of leadership and also served as a platform for discussions on student welfare, youth empowerment, and political participation among students.
Several dignitaries and party officials were present at the gathering, including Richard Yermoh, who joined students and TEIN members for the occasion.
Amorse Blessing Amos, the Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, also attended the meeting and encouraged students to remain active, disciplined, and committed to the ideals of the party and national development.
During the ceremony, Joshua Akamba addressed the gathering and urged members of TEIN to continue strengthening unity and youth participation within the party.
Speaking to the media after the event, the newly elected TEIN President of UniMAC, Sherita Adu Agyei, called on students to join TEIN and become part of a movement focused on student empowerment and national progress.
She also highlighted the “No Fees Stress Policy” introduced by President John Dramani Mahama, describing it as a major relief for students and parents across the country.
According to her, the policy is aimed at ensuring that no Ghanaian student is denied access to tertiary education because of financial difficulties. She explained that the initiative covers academic entry fees for first-year students under the government’s flagship education support programme.
Sherita Adu Agyei noted that the policy will help remove financial barriers and give more young people the opportunity to pursue higher education with dignity and confidence.
The handover ceremony ended with networking, interactions among student leaders, and renewed commitment from TEIN members to support youth-focused policies and student development.
