The Member of Parliament for Lambussie, Hon. Titus Kofi Beyuo, has awarded scholarships worth GHS 201,050 to 93 students in the constituency through the Beyuo Educational Scholarship Trust (BEST).
The scholarship package is aimed at supporting students in their academic journey and reducing the financial burden on their families. The beneficiaries were selected from different parts of the constituency to receive assistance towards their education.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Beyuo said education remains one of the most important tools for development and that no student should be denied the opportunity to learn because of financial difficulties.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and maintain good discipline, stressing that they are ambassadors of the Lambussie Constituency in their various institutions.
The event was attended by the District Chief Executive for Lambussie, Hon. Ireneus N. Basingbie, and the District Director of Education, Mr. Bede Baminekang, who commended the initiative and urged the students to make good use of the opportunity.
Hon. Beyuo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational initiatives in the constituency, noting that the development of Lambussie depends largely on the education and skills of its people.
The scholarship scheme forms part of ongoing efforts by the MP to invest in human capital development and create opportunities for young people within the constituency.
